Arsenal Thrash Chelsea 5-0 to Extend Lead at Top of Premier League

Kai Havertz and Ben White Score Second

Mauricio Pochettino's Side Crumbled as Kai Havertz Scored Twice Against His Former Club

Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to three points with a dominant 5-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday. Goals from Leandro Trossard, Ben White, and Kai Havertz led the league leaders to a convincing victory.

Arsenal's intensity was breathtaking from the first whistle, and they threatened to blow Chelsea away before dipping slightly after the opening 30 minutes. However, they remained in control throughout, and Chelsea never looked like getting back into the game.

Havertz, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the summer, scored twice against his former club. The German forward put Arsenal ahead in the 21st minute with a fine finish from inside the box, and he doubled their lead just before half-time with a header.

White made it 3-0 early in the second half with a powerful header from a corner, and Trossard added a fourth in the 66th minute with a clinical finish from inside the box. Emile Smith Rowe then rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute with a tap-in from close range.

The win was Arsenal's ninth in a row in all competitions, and it moved them three points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table. Chelsea, meanwhile, remain in eighth place, 10 points adrift of the leaders.
