41 Stunden Woche Bundesbeamte

Weekly Working Hours in Germany

Overview

In Germany, the standard weekly working hours for most employees are 41 hours. This includes both full-time and part-time employees. However, there are some exceptions to this rule.

Exceptions

* Employees who work in the public sector may have different working hours, depending on their job and the specific regulations of their employer. * Employees who have a collective bargaining agreement may have different working hours, as specified in their agreement. * Employees who are employed on a temporary or part-time basis may have different working hours, as agreed upon with their employer.

Overtime

If an employee works more than their standard weekly working hours, they are entitled to overtime pay. Overtime pay is typically calculated at a rate of 1.5 times the employee's regular hourly wage.

Vacation

Employees in Germany are entitled to a minimum of 20 days of paid vacation per year. The number of vacation days may increase depending on the employee's age, length of service, and collective bargaining agreement.
